who we are
The Inverness Ridge Association ("IRA") is the non-profit group which is open to all of the owners and residents of Paradise Ranch Estates ("PRE"). PRE is in a forested area near the Point Reyes National Seashore and is surrounded on three sides by federal and state parkland. We are an unincorporated community, with the IRA providing a sort of informal government. Among other tasks, IRA and its associated Road Advisory Board keep our roads up, maintain hiking trails, and help our members and neighbors to protect themselves in case of emergency.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO EVERYONE ON THE RIDGE!!
The Inverness Ridge Association is holding its General Meeting on January 14, 2012 at 11 am the home of Alan and Sydne Bortel, 1 Lower Dover. IRA provides the drinks. The rest is pot luck (bring a main dish if you can).
This is always a fun ---and informative--event. Not wanting to rest on past glories, we will welcome as main speaker Cicely Muldoon, who is the Superintendant of the Point Reyes National Seashore. Cicely is a local girl in a very important job. She also says she's willing to address any and all of the subjects the mutually concern the Park and its neighbors (in our case we are surrounded on all sides by parkland).
The business part of the meeting will be mercifully brief: we will talk about ongoing projects, tell you how much is in the kitty, and will fill about half of the positions which are on the Board of Directors. We may gently pester you for 2012 dues ($25 per household), so come prepared.
PARKING AT BORTELS' VERY LIMITED. PLEASE CARPOOL OR PARK ELSEWHERE
The IRA Board of Directors meets regularly at dates and times posted in advance on this site, which also gives contact information, descriptions of community events, emergency data, and links to other websites where you can learn more about this matchless corner of the world.
