The IRA has agreed to help the National Park Service maintain the Inverness Ridge Trail from the end of Sunnyside Road to the “saddle” where it intersects with the Buckalew Trail, and the Drakes’ View Trail which links the Inverness Ridge Trail to Muddy Hollow. Most recently we’ve been lucky in that lots of the heavy work has been done by the Marin Conservation Corps, leaving lighter stuff to us amateurs. This year, we’ve been asked to clean up the drainage trenches along the IRT. This happens on Saturday, October 17 at 9 am, when volunteers meet at the top of Drakes View Drive. The Park Service provides tools and directions. We provide gourmet quality sandwiches and drinks. Come join!
